Based in San Antonio, we proudly serve clients across Texas and beyond, delivering refined, high-end spaces that blend form and function.
With in-house general contractor, we are able to streamline the entire process—from concept to completion—providing our clients a seamless, enjoyable, and expertly managed experience throughout all phases of the project.

THE firm
We started UP&Co over 10 years ago excited to create beautiful, well designed, quality-built spaces that would change and improve the way people live. We were an ‘up and coming’ team of designers based in San Antonio, TX, which was -and continues to be- an up and coming city in the rising; and we thought of new buildings as we did of new ideas: new, and up and coming from the ground up, from concept to fruition… therefore the name:
UP&Coming > UP&Co.
We wanted to create unique and better spaces… today we understand that these are not only beautiful rooms: these buildings are the materialization of your dreams and goals. With this in mind, we transitioned into a design-build firm where we could take ownership of every aspect of our projects and ensure that quality and attention to detail carry on from design throughout construction.
When you work with us, you have under your wing a combined 20+ years experience in the residential and commercial fields of design, project management, estimating and construction, plus a network of the most professional and specialized trades and craftsmen who we have forged a relationship and collaborated with for over a decade. We are excited for what’s coming our way, eager to continue to grow and always be learning so we can be the very best in our industry, and be able to deliver the very best design to you.
Judith DeMasters
Principal Designer & Creative Director
I’m Judith DeMasters, the creative lead behind our architectural and interior design work.
Born in Mexico City and now building a life and business in Texas, I bring a multicultural perspective, a deep love of design, and over a decade of experience in luxury to every project we take on.
After earning my architecture degree, I began my career supporting the president of a construction firm specializing in hospitals and hotels. That early exposure to large-scale, high-stakes projects shaped how I approach both creative thinking and project execution.
I later worked in civil construction estimating, sharpening my skills in logistics, budgeting, and strategic planning… But my heart has always belonged to design.
For the last 13 years, I’ve poured myself into designing custom luxury homes, hospitality spaces, and commercial interiors that are as functional as they are emotionally resonant.
One of my core strengths is spatial organization and programming: being able to understand how you will use a space and design it so the fit, feel, function and finish feel right and inviting on everyday use, all without sacrificing aesthetic and beauty.
I gravitate toward organic textures and bold contrasts between light and dark; always aiming to reflect our clients’ unique energy and lifestyle.
For the last 5 years I have prioritized creating a strong and streamlined process to ensure we can provide a prime experience and top-line build to every one of our clients again and again; where we can protect our clients investments, listen to their needs and create beautiful spaces for them to experience and live every day.
Designing a space that once only lived in my mind and then watching it rise into reality, feels like magic. But the greatest joy is seeing our clients step into their dream home or business-spaces that are beautiful, meaningful, and uniquely theirs.
Above all, everything I do is for our two kiddos. I want them to grow up seeing their mom as a strong leader, a creative thinker, and someone who built something big… so they know they can do even more! That’s what keeps me inspired every single day.
dustin DeMasters
Director of Construction
I’m Dustin DeMasters, co-founder of UP&Co and Director of Construction.
My background blends a formal architectural education with years of hands-on experience across luxury residential and commercial construction. That combination allows me to bridge the gap between design vision and build reality, making sure every detail is executed with care, precision, and integrity.
I started my career as a craft and detail carpenter working on ultra-luxury homes, where I learned the importance of craftsmanship at the highest level. From there, I moved into general contracting for a top-tier custom home builder, managing subcontractors, scheduling, and client communications from start to finish. Later, I worked as a commercial superintendent on large-scale projects across Texas—like the Frost Tower, restaurants, fitness spaces, labs, and medical clinics—gaining deep experience in coordination, logistics, and leadership on complex job sites.
Today, at UP&Co, I oversee all construction operations—from ground-up custom homes to full-scale remodels and commercial builds. My role is about more than just managing a site: it’s about being a steward of quality, ensuring that what we build lives up to the care and vision that goes into every design.
Outside of work, I’m passionate about fishing, playing guitar (yes, I throw a neighborhood Halloween block party concert every year!), and being a super hands-on dad to our two kids. Just like in construction, I believe the best things are built with time, intention, and heart.
